I’m typing with bloodshot eyes and blistered fingertips. I’ve crawled away from the Wii and managed to pull myself up to the chair in order to write this blog post. Jason Bean is running a contest over at ichooseindy.com and you could win the new CD from Straight No Chaser. Holiday Spirits is a Christmas collection by the 10 man vocal group that formed at Indiana University in the mid 90′s. Jason has a great blog post about how the band got their current recording deal. I’m glad to see them getting a break. I remember seeing them during my college decade…

The BoDeans have released Live Acoustic available exclusively through their website. It features 13 tracks recorded in November 2006 over 3 days in Schaumburg and Alrington Heights, IL.  Also, the band is releasing a box set in March of ’09 (just in time for my birthday if your looking for ideas).
