Trolley Dodgers Turns 9 Today
It’s hard to believe that 9 years ago today, Trolley Dodgers was released. So today, the first 9 people to comment on this post will receive a free autographed copy. Already have one, you can have a signed copy of Kansaska instead. Got both, then I’ll send you a Citizens! T-shirt. Got all three? Then I will give you a hug, next time I see you.
In case you’re wondering what the book is about, it’s based on a column I wrote for BC Magazine in 1997. At the time, the Dodgers were for sale, and Jeff Sagarin gave me the idea that if everyone in Monroe County (Indiana) would pitch in $20,000, we could buy the team. I wrote the article and was later interviewed on a Bloomington radio station (WGCL). During the interview, some of the callers thought the story was real.
Fast forward to 2004 and I started turning the idea into the book that was released Sept 6, 2005. Thanks to everyone who supported it and I hope one day we can see it on the big screen!
Carry on, Citizens!
