SOOO behind the times (I'm reading back issues! :D ), but there's a little dive in my neighborhood that advertises their bands on the sign every weekend, and they usually have interesting names. My particular favorite is Jassy Grazz. One of these days (when I go crazy) I might drop by there and actually hear them play. ;)

Also, a friend of mine played in a band called King Hippo (named after the character from the old Nintendo game "Mike Tyson's Punch Out"). Points for nostalgia. :)

Kenny Rogers, Neil Diamond, The Doobie Brothers, Juice Newton, The Turtles, The Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, Herman's Hermits, Three Dog Night...oh, wait a minute, those are a few concerts my parents took me to as a kid (but a few names there are sort of interesting I guess).

Band names...

A Flock Of Seagulls (Do they fly around and leave droppings on things?)
Blind Melon (Bee girl!)
Chubby Checker
Eve 6 (X-Files reference)
Five Iron Frenzy (Originally to be "Putter Mayhem")
Five for Fighting (Hockey!)
Gin Blossoms
Goo Goo Dolls
Skid Row
Smash Mouth (Football!)
Sprung Monkey (Not the smartest bunch...ask me offline)

There are more, but I'll leave some for other people to add.

And a challenge...what about a good country band name? Of the few that I can think of that don't go by their name(s), I can't think of any. But with the song titles these guys come up with, you'd think there would be something.
